Can someone suggest a weapon?

I'm looking for a handgun and I'd like to mount a laser sight on it...anyone with experience with such a setup?

I am a fair shot with a 9mm or smaller, but anything larger has too much kick without a lot of practice.

Thanks much.

I dunno, Springfield XD9? Go to a gun shop and hold different guns to see what fits your hand the best.

Because the element of surprise is over rated.

xd40 w/ the 9mm conversion barrel cause you can't find 9x19's even if your life depended on it.

Just like Spoolin415 said, go to a local gun store that has a wide variety and see what feels best in your hand. Thats the most important thing. Just a heads up, lasers go for about $300+.

Just for traffic control

My house has been broken into and parts looted off of my car when I have been home as well as random things outside of my house - lawn furniture etc. The guys who broke in, only had about 10 mins before I got back and they ran out the back yard as I pulled in.

I would rather not face them unarmed.

My suggestion would be to get a Springfield MC Operator 1911 .45

Skip the laser, get a light instead.

All of this vandalism, theft has only happened in the last 10 months or so...never had any issues before that...but now...well I'm concerned.

What? uh, no, look at the wreck I drive, why would I be looking for a chrome handgun.

I also don't need a large clip, even weight doesn't come into it much since i don't plan on any long sojourns, jamming matters, ease of cleaning, reduced recoil.
