If you have spent lots of money upgrading your ride, and would like to make your engine even faster and lighter, you should read this.
One of the best and most effective ways to increase power in your engine is by LIGHTING YOUR CRANKSHAFT. Yes, you read it right, BY LIGHTING YOUR CRANKSHAFT.
What is this you ask yourself????Well, it is simple, you can take off pounds off from your stock crankshaft, and the result is more power throughout the power band.
At the lower RPMS your take off will be faster, remember your crankshaft is lighter, so it moves faster than the other guy.
At the upper RPMS you will be able to go higher, therefore, more power. For example, if you can go up to 8000 RPMS, with a lighter crankshaft you can go higher around 10000RPMS.
Most high performance engines like Ferrari, Porsche and such use this idea to increase power throughout the power band. Racing cars also use lighter crankshafts to increase their power.
By now, you might have lots of questions about this, and if you want to know more you should call Steve at 650-340-8651 from Cardelli Motorsports a performance engine machining place that do this procedure. Is it expensive, think again, it is very affordable. Anyone can afford it. This is a true machine shop that does high performance work at very affordable prices. Call to find out!!!!!
If no one pick up the phone, leave a message, Steve is very good in returning calls.

I can't find any info on the shop, and lighting my crankshaft doesn't sound like the best idea at this point... I'm pretty sure the add's going to get flagged.

anybody consider "cheap" is pulling the motor, dropping the pan, in the case of a Subaru, splitting the motor (which is a complete re-build)? Not cheap from any point of view I'm looking from.
