Nope. The Milltek unit is really nice and sounds really good.

I sent him a text. Hes been waiting for new parts to hit the market.

Hes got the STi limited, and he praises the handling and power both compared to his modded 05 he traded for the '11 STi

You'll have to ask Gary if the Sedan version is out already. I can't remember for sure.

A couple things I noticed.

1.Ed says the 2011's have the worst tuning yet.
2.Thread on iwsti of 2011 owners who either stock, or have exhaust are driving their cars hard, and toasting their motors.

I'd recommend you 2011 owners get a tune somewhere, and get off stock mapping asap. On a good note you can can see a 65whp hp gain from just mbc/tune according to EQ, thats beast.

Check out this 2011 STI we tuned last week. This car started out bone stock with about 3500 miles on it. Today we added an MBC and performed a custom tune. The results are VERY impressive!

The red curves are bone stock and the blue curves are with just MBC and custom tune.

I ran boost at 17.5psi tapering to about 14psi by redline. The car felt very smooth and quick during the road test. I believe this is the most power I've seen with just a tune. Its amazing how little power these cars make on the stock ECU and how well they do when tuned properly.

Thanks

Yep. I'm still seeing 215-220whp out of stock 04-07 STI's. The 08+ STI's almost never break 200whp stock. Once tuned, the 2011 STI's seem to make the most power as I believe they freed up some exhaust flow as compared to previous years.

Thanks

I'm confused. I thought the 04-07 STi's put down about 245-255whp ( on a Mustang Dyno)??? Is there that much parasitic drivetrain loss (-100whp) or is your dyno that much of a heartbreaker OR is it because Subaru 300bhp claims are bogus???

I've only seen them put down 245-255whp stock on Dynojets not on Mustangs. I calibrated my dyno to read like my road dyno software which was very similar to the lower reading mustang dynos.

Thanks

Interesting.
This is from FLI's Mustang Dyno. I have found it low reading compared to most.

Clearly, Miles and Crew are wrong.

FWIW, I believe FLI has their Mustang calibrated just like Cobb's and at this calibration they tend to read more like Dynojets. The other Mustangs I've seen like GST's, Gruppe-S, Innovative, EFI Logics, etc tend to read about 15-16% lower.

Our own dyno in its normal state reads more like a Dynojet as well, but I run a .85 correction factor to make the numbers consistent with my road dyno software that I had been using for many years. The road dyno software always read very similarly to the lower reading Mustang dynos and I have gotten used to dealing with those numbers.

Either way, this is in no way about "right" or "wrong". Every dyno will read differently depending on hardware, software, conditions, and calibration. Dyno's are just tuning tools, so as long as you have an accurate baseline to work from, it doesn't matter if the dyno reads high or low... the % delta will always be the same.

Thanks

Good catch. I copied and pasted from the wrong post

Btw, you MUST have a lot of free time to be catching little details like that!
