Bye Bye Timmy

They just released that Rattay got traded to the Bucs, most likely for a 6th round pick. Ironically his first game as a Buc will be against...the Niners. I think its a neutral move, not earthshaking in either direction. Still I think it's good for A. Smith. Thoughts?

thank god. It's good for Smith, heck anything is, but he still has to grow and mature as a QB.

How is he going to grow and mature? He has Ken Dorsey and Cody Pickett to "look up to" and he will be sacked at least three times a game due to their weak/hurt o-line. It seems like the niners keep getting worse.

The only offensive bright spots seem to be Frank Gore and Brandon Loyd.

to be honest, I hope they get a 1-15 record..this way they can draft Matt Leinhart from USC and have him as the starter or atleast have A.Smith and Leinhart battle for the starting position

They can't/won't draft Leinhart b/c they already spent 50 million on Smith. If they get the first pick they will have to trade down for lower draft picks.

reggie bush and smith do have experience playing on the same team. Reason enough for me to draft him.

actually, the funny part was like:

"for the 49er's the future is this..."

i too think bush will make a great pick for them. smith and bush will be a nice foundation to build a team around.

every team goes in cycles. right now... the niners and the raiders in a low...
