Angry Update!!! Burglarized!!! on last page

Sorry, I have to rant.

My apartment got burglarized on Monday when my wife and I were out at work. They stole my laptops a Mac and Toshiba, a Mac my wife just got for her work. Her wedding band and engagement ring! Worth A LOT!!! My Tag watch, PSP, 30 gb iPod video, 2 digital cameras: Canon and Nikon, travelers checks and cash, old leather jacket, and my wife's f*ckin makeup bag!!! Who would want that?

I was gald they didn't take my guns, likely to the traced. I have renters insurance but stupid me, I didn't itemize my wife's rings. She usually wears them but decided not to because it was going to affect her work that day.

I wished I my Sig on me to put some 9mm hollow points and/or 5.56mm FMJs into the bastard(s) who stole my things.

If anyone sees anyting listed above for sale on ebay or craigslist for cheap please let me know. I would be greatly appreciative.

---end of rant...

Thanks.

Will

Might want to post pictures of the items you got stolen along with major identifiers, like model number etc of your cameras and computers.

I'm in Santa Clara, an apartment complex near the Rivermark area.

I'll post serial numbers of some of the stolen things later. It's hard when I don't have any computer access anymore, only at work.

I gaurentee they live in the same apartment complex that you do. Possibly someone who has a clear view of your apartment from their own.

sheesh, sorry to hear about all of that, hopefully they catch the bastards ( or bastardettes since they took the makeup bag). we hope that you can bounce back from this stupid incident, its people like that that make the world a bad place, life doesn't have to be as hard as it is, but then again . . . nothing ever comes easy. what comes around goes around and what doesn't kill you will make you stronger, we're just happy that you weren't there during the burglary or it definitely could've gotten a lot worse and you might have lost some things that can't be replaced. good luck with everything and stick in there, everyone goes through tough times, it's how you choose to handle it that makes you the person you are.

*gets off soapbox*

Yup, they probably live in the same apt. complex. Or they work there or have friends that work there. Bottom line is they knew you'd be gone. Process of elimination, who would know you're schedules? Go online, get a list of all the pawn shops within 50 miles and talk to the owners, give them a list of all the things that the thieves might try and sell. A long shot but you never know. Next, get yourself a large dog. It will never happen again. My German Shepherd will rip anyone a new ******* if they get into my house. Then of course the house alarm will go off.

Also, since we're on the subject. Never give a stereo shop your address. Give them your buddies address or PO box. Joe shmo at audio deluxe installs a $5000 system in your ride and then calls his dirt bag buddies and gives them your address. The following week you wake up and find your brand new system gone. Ins. pays for a new system that you have put in by the same shop.

Dam really sorry to hear about that, someone tried to break into my house on a thursday night while I was home. Fortunatly I have an alarm, since then I bought a gun too.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for those things on craigslist, hopefully you can give out some more info on them.

Thanks for the support guys. There were a lot of construction people in our building the last month because of renovations done to all the empty units. They were there that day but didn't see anything. I suspect they might have done it. But there was somthing odd. We have a storage room right outside of our main door. It has a dead bolt on it and only can be opened with a key. The same key is used for the main door lock. When I came home both the main door lock and the storage lock were open. So, they must have keys. There's a patio door that is accessable from the stairs. That door had the locks messed with. The bastard was trying to get through there but I found that door to be locked. I didn't leave my keys out or at home that day.

So, something tells me it might be an inside job. Maybe the contractors got the keys from the apartment management and duplicated one. Also, on the same day another person in my bulding had his stuff stolen from his car. It was unlocked.

Anyway, thanks for all the kind words and support guys. I hope the cops catch the bastard. The apartment mangement was not help at all. I asked them to post a warning for the residents about the recent burglary but they refused for obvious reasons...Keep a good eye on your valuables.

Yep. Or maybe you know someone that would want to do this to you.

Sucks man. Burglary is a runner-up to rape in my book. When I was a kid we got hit 3 times from different homes.

even though the rings were not itemized on your insurance wont they still cover it, the coverage is normally just a dollar amount, so they should be able to still cover it.
its really sucks that that happened, and your right it does sound like a inside job with the construction guys. let the cops know about the locks construction guys so they can do a investigation.

I hate people who steal and i hope those guys get caught and someone kicks the crap out of them.
