Yea wax your wheels, get bronze, gunmetal or black rims. Also I've heard that ceramic brake pads will produce little or no dust. Lastly a good cleaner that I used myself on my P1's is Eagle 1 wheel and tire cleaner (can be found at Kragen and other auto stores).
thanx

Somebody once asked me where I got my OZ superleggas w/ a polished lip and why I had silver Rota Tarmacs in the rear. I just stood there and stared.

I don't know what pads an STi comes with, but all the other stock Impreza pads seem to be pretty good about dust. My OEM pads dusted hardly at all. All the aftermarket pads I've run - Porterfield R4-S's, Axxis Ultimates, Ferodo something-I-forgets, and Hawk Blues - have dusted insanely. If you're doing an event that uses a lot of brakes over a short period of time, like a track day or autocrossing, you can often just hose off the newly-accumulated dust. It seems to set over time, but if you get to it quickly enough, it washes right off.

If it's over a longer period, try Eagle 1 Mag Cleaner. That seems to work alright, and it hasn't damaged the finish on any of my wheels, although it will eat into concrete if you leave a puddle around long enough.

Try this.

Spray some WD-40 on your wheels and wipe them down. Make sure not to get any WD-40 onto your brake components or tires.

In the future, all the brake dust should come right off if you hose them down with garden hose.

This technique is also useful for track days.

I hope it works for you.
