i just bought my brake cooling ducts
I went to my local dealer and bought the flimsy pieces of plastic and clips. But when they are installed and anchored to the lower dust shield the firm up just enough. I tried to find out the deal why they were missing from alot of cars but my dealer didnt seem to know about it. Although they stock the part. ANy ways i figured they are supposed to be there so why not just get them. I plan on upgrading to vented rotors and better pads down the road. Even if they cool only a little its better than nothing. Thanks for generating this post i had no idea that they were even supposed to be there.

filice g got a question for u on ur install
after installing my ducts i put the wider/deeper part forward towards the bumper hole. the parts are handed and when I installed mine the duct exited more towards the inside of the tire not towards the tread like it looks in urs. If u flip them around i think you will see what i mean hope this helps.

From www.subaruwrxparts.com:
"Brake Ducting
Found standard on the 02-03 WRX, these ducts were removed from 04 models. They can thankfully be added fairly easily, and will help to keep the brakes cool. Contains everything you will need to add these ducts to your vehicle.
Price:$25.00 "
Is that right...or are there 02's and 03's that dun have em? Im too forgetful to look underneath the car...
