Boost gauge install....cel and low boost

Boost gauge install....cel and low boost

Had a boost gauge installed and it was tapped in the evap solenoid? On the left side front of intake manifold next to throttle body....and got a evap cel....he cleared the cel but still only seein 6-8 psi....disconnected battery and cleared ecu...no cel but still same boost....is that a wrong location for the vacuum line?....i disconnected boost line and ran it oem way and still low boost

It's supposed to be tapped into the BPV vacuum line

ok that makes sense but when i disconnected boost vacuum line and ran the hose how it was before im still seein low boost like its in limp mode but no CEL?

Yup tap into BPV vacuum line by using T-tap adapter. You won't see boost go up if car is idling and when you try to rev but will see it once your moving. at least that's how mine works.

You might have pulled a fitting off the manifold causing a big boost leak. Does the car seem to run normally other than the low boost?

lol at stupidchicken03.....you get the idea...haha.... at eq tuning car feels fine besides low boost...no stutter or anything....and manny yea the vacuum and boost are showing up like they should besides the low boost....imma check all connections on the manifold in the morning

Yea im jus wondering why when i took the boost vacuum line out and reconnected it oem style still low boost
