So the "the copyright law of the USA" says "you may not copy any copyrighted material for personal use, including making copies of intellectual property legitimately purchased" ... some something like that? What is it exactly you are trying to make up? heh

What's also amusing is that there are all sorts of dual-deck VHS and digital media copying machines available to the public sold by really big companies like Philips, Panasonic, Sony, etc... right here in the good ol' USA.

Now we're at an interesting point in the stupidity you'v raised: ALL THIS IS UNDECIDED. It is in court RIGHT NOW. There is NO DEFINITIVE LAW. And, there IS NO INJUNCTION regarding making backup copies.

You can yap yap yap about the ominous "copyright law of the USA" all you want... you appearantly don't know what you are talking about.

I should add... anyone who whines about out of print material being copied in any way, shape, or form are babbling idiots. Even MGM execs know that, I bet.

If your QRIO makes a backup copy for you without you asking, is it OK to keep it?

and you continually to attack me. great way to argue your side...
I suggest you read up on "the copyright law of the USA". In fact if you ever find such a law let me know and post a link...

And mmboost your sorta correct in saying that it hasnt been decided in courts yet.

I think your refering to the 321 studios case. Which is a bit different as that is pertaining more to the dvd to dvd copying not one format to another format. Which is perfectly legal under Fair use.

wow had to read through a couple of pages to get here, lol, dredizzle is right, and u know what, all this garbage and arging could have been avoided if u guys took it to the pms, and the mods wouldnt have to have their fingers so close on the lock button, and dr3 did that, but ldivinag just HAD to take it on the forums, it really does make you look like an immature a**, and u're telling me you don't own one single mp3? or burned a song for ur friend? you are telling me you've never broken the law? the speedlimit? parking ticket? ur record is clean? i dont think so, he knows what hes doing, and it doesnt sound like you care about him or the people on this board, u jsut want to make urself loko like a smartass or something trying to show you know about the copyright crap and u're a supposded "law abiding citizen", but u're not making any friends by doing that...

by the way, im reading blade runner, or do andriods dream of electric sheeps, the book this movie is based on for my english class, just started but its interesting, and ryan(winding road) is in my class.
