Put it this way, I've already done it off of VHS, and it looks no worse than the VHS. Just look at the bitrates I posted.

that's the reason the MPAA, the RIAA and all other organizations is coming down for legit (and you cannot give me a reason what your going is legal) forms of archiving.

when that movie goes on the public domain list, then feel free.

otherwise, what you are doing is still illegal and doing it on a public forum... nice...

p.s at one time i was so into he film that years ago when i worked in a video store i went by the name Roy Batty. The customers that knew where the name came from they would get a free rental. To this day i have had people come up to me and call me Roy. hahhaha
