COOL!!! ^^^^^^ But I never had a doubt Kobe was gonna resign.

I can't wait for next season to start.....actually looking forward to it more than before last season when we got GP & Malone. The League should be very interesting this time around!

Decent players who go to good teams = overrated player
Decent players who go to bad teams = lousy player

even at just "half way average," D-Fish is A LOT mo betta than ALL of the "Warriors!" Seriously, now that Cardinal jumped ship, is there anyone on the team with some heart?? I'd sooner start rooting for the QUEENS (NOT) rather than the hapless & perennial misfit "Warriors!"

I don't like Van Exel either so although fisher has signed with the warriors, that means exel is going to be traded.

I hate Fisher, just one more reason the Warriors wont be any good thi year either, you will get nowhere in the west with 3 small point guards.

Without Shaq the lakers are the twolves.

oh man, not to pick on anyone, but as a twolves fan (warriors fan as well) I'd have to say that with the team as it stands, the lakers are no where near the twolves, not even close. The twolves have an Allstar/mvp/allworld power forward with skills to play every position on the court if he had to, compared to free agent, older than basketball, dirtiest player in the leauge, malone, freee agent household name slava medvedenko, and brian grant who should be playing 4 but will be at 5 for the lakers. Cassell/ hudson who are as good a tandem at point as any (bibby/jackson included) vs. sellout over the hill gary payton who I watched get trounced by claxton in Oakland. Olowakandi is better than anything the lakers have at center, sprewell is solid, szczerbiak (sp? is there a w in there somewhere?) can bring 20 off the bench at times, Hassell is a younger bruce bowen, and the wolves bench is just so much more experienced and not sucky ( see: luke walton, vukacic could be good though) compared to the lakers. The lakers have a maxed out player who I don't believe has the heart to lead a team at this point, odom who is inconsistent at times (and in the same mold as jamison imo), a logjam at 3 (odom is no 4 especially in the west), no backup point, no center, no chemistry, no cap room in forever, etc. How can they even be compared to the wolves, one of the best teams in the west. I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers didn't make the playoffs this year and I couldn't be happier. (Sacramento, Minnesota, San Antonio, Denver, Houston, Memphis, Dallas (will make some moves), and Utah I think will all be better. god the midwest is gonna be good) Who knows, the lakers are set up to be this years magic if you think about it.

Clippers with kobe....still barely a playoff contenter.

I'd take Brand (20/10 unselfish with lots of heart and a true 4), up and coming maggette (plays like pippen I think) and kaman (great young 5), livingston (read about him), and a midlevel vet point anyday over the lakers talent wise if I was kobe. Jaric and Wilcox have some talent too. That group could become a dynasty in a year or two. still could with richardson and a couple more pieces. but then again it is the clippers.

I could see him going to the sixers..home town. Him and Iverson would be a crazy matchup..
Too bad Philly hates him (to be fair they hate everyone) cuz he's from lower marion and well, he's kobe. (to compare, trying to rep philly while being from marion is like trying to rep oakland being from piedmont or blackhawk). PLus there aren't enough shots to go around and Kobe wants to be the man. bleh i grow weary of this. F the lakers. Go warriors (sigh foyle and fisher for 79 mil. good players, but cmon. Fisher could be this year's robinson for the warriors though. if they trade claxton and keep van exel I'm gonna cry.)

pleue - werd

If I was a betting man I would bet that LA is going to move butler to get a servicable 5. They are going to get killed if this is the roster.

As for van exel, i think they will trade him. he is in last year of his contract some one will take his sorry a$$ off our hands. I was hoping that Mullin would be smarter than this. for that money they could have just signed Dampier instead of Foyle and the Fish.

pleue. it wasn't so much a comparisson on talent as it was a comment as in ONE man show. T wolves will get no rings as long as they don't have another star.

as for the clippers....yeah they have tons of great young talent. Means nothing really. They've had great young talent for a while now. Shoot the bulls have great young talent. With kobe that team would be a mess. I don't think he would add to what they need.

As for the state of the warriors. Personally I think they were stupid to get rid of musslemen. There are even stupider to pay foyle as if he's a top line player..he is not. Best he is good for his tough defense...great shot blocker. They better hope that young buck advanced really really fast. They need to toss van exel. Never liked that guy. and they already have two guys that can handle the point just fine..especially with dunleavy showing he could do alright in emergencies. But how is it you won't pay to keep players like hardaway, richmond, webber, etc but you will pay to get two guys that combine for like 15 points a game? Why not sign dampier? I too will be very very pissed if claxton goes and exel stays. but it wouldn't surprise me. I've been warriors fan through thick and thin...stupid decision after stupid decision....with mullin being around through that I'd hoped he wouldn't repeat but it's starting to look like he's the front runner for dumbass of the year..him and everyone in cleveland. Definately not a budget guy. I have met mullin on a few occassions...not that it matters cause I'm joe nobody. But that guy was an ******* every single time.

yea the clippers might always be the clippers I'm afraid. I think sterling might be turning over a new leaf though by finally paying people. Livingston is gonna be amazing and Brand is not a star but the perfect secondary guy, the rest are established and consitent young talents (unlike the bulls twin towers and crawford). I don't think kobe could have led them though, at least not now. I think the wolves can compete with a ring as they are now, possibly with a szczerbiak trade for 2 or 3 who's more consistant and if olowakandi plays consistantly like he did in the laker's series. With a healthy hudson, I think the series would have been won vs. LA. Not to mention Malone should have been suspended (I hate stern and his hypocrisy.) Right now, the spurs are the only team ahead of them in the west imho. True, the warriors worst mistake recently was to get rid of musselman, along the lines of the niners not signing mora jr to be their coach, but away from that tangent. One main problem is that mullin is in love with dunleavy and seems to be on a personal quest to make him the next mullin. I'm not sold at all. I don't think he could guard half the nbdl 3's. His defense just makes me sad. I agree in that I hate van exel too. Pietrus should be good if he gets his shooting down and don't be surpirised to see jrich get dealt possibly mid way in the season or earlier. I like that the warriors have added vets who can win and lead recently (robinson and fisher). Claxton is a gem. Their draft confused me (a 4 with murphy and robinson in the fold?). THey need depth at 3. sigh it's just too much to thin kabout. Hopefully more money will be flowing into the team with the new sale and mullin will quit or something, he's done nothing positive in my opinion for the team except get rid of st jean, but he's no better. The warriors will probably pull off a swift for damp trade or something or get a useless 5 from seattle. sigh. go warriors.

no joke. Agree on all points.

I don't know if they'll trade jrich just on the pure fact that he's their money maker. their poster boy. He brings people to the stadium. Freaking mullin should be there helping him with his jumper though.

I mean his defense improved alot. But he still needs a good jumper and a decent three range. If he can be a threat from out around 16-18 feet he'll get a lot more drive dunk chances. Seeing him play makes me miss Gilbert.

I didn't understand the draft either. There was some serious talent out there to better fill the roster. Maybe they are hoping to play him at center...who knows. Kids young and pretty talented. We'll see...maybe he's a project for them...give hime 2/3 years to develop.
