Nope, automatic.

This car averages like 22mpg since its a v6. Maybe 25ish on the hwy.

Really needs a windshield or whatever to address this leak. If it rains hard or goes through a car wash, water drips from where the windshield meets the headliner right above the steering wheel.

Belts are auto style. They seem worn, which is reason #1 I didn't finish this car up. I got a near 3yr old... I just didn't want her in there.

Bought a 03 Forester 5spd for my daily now. And ready to move on from this project.

Just a FYI: Belts have a lifetime warranty. The dealer will replace them for free if you have safety concerns and they need replacing.

Where are you getting that? AFAIK $500 is just a hassle free max amount for both sides...It gets complicated after that depending on how the car is used or what the chairty sells it for. You can claim the fair market value of your car, but you have to make sure to follow IRS guidance. It all depends on the charity you donate to. Typically the larger more established arganizations already have everything in place.

However, I am not a tax expert and it is been a while since I donated a car, so rules might have changed.

EDIT: Here is what a quick Google search produced...

http://www.edmunds.com/sell-car/does...irs-rules.html

How To Deduct Fair Market Value
These are the four IRS rules under which you can get the maximum deduction (the fair market value) of a donated car:

1. When a charity auctions your car for $500 or less, you can claim either the fair market value or $500, whichever is less.

2. When the charity intends to make a "significant intervening use of the vehicle." This means the charity will use the car in its work, such as delivering meals to needy people.

3. When the charity intends to make a "material improvement" to the vehicle, which is "anything that increases the car's value and prolongs its life," Midwood says. "It can't be a minor repair or maintenance; it must be something like fixing the engine or systems that run the car," she says.

4. When the charity gives or sells the vehicle to a needy individual at a price significantly below fair market value, and the gift or sale is part of the charity's mission of helping the needy who need transportation.

one option if you know people that are needing parts off it, is to strip it to bare metal and recycle the shell. thats what i did with an 04 WRX wagon that rolled over. parted out stock parts and recycled shell for $50

Sell it to a mechanic. I had a high mileage van that broke down and traded it for car repair services to my other car. My mechanic needed a vehicle to shuttle customers back and forth from his shop to their workplaces. Win-win for both sides.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I've decided to donate it to Make A Wish.
