Berkeley Restaurant Advice
My cousin is in town on business and he just had his birthday yesterday. I'm planning to drive into the city this afternoon and meet him in Berkeley. Normally we either go to a pub or get sushi. Anyone have advice or suggestions on where I should take him.
Thx,
Matt

Kirala - excellent sushi
Skates - good seafood/steaks (try the ahi sampler)
Cha-am - good priced thai food
Venezia - great Italian food (try the pasta afumacato)
Zachary's - casual, but bomb *** Chicago style pizza

Thanks both of you I'm heading out now. Hopefully my trusty laptop, an open wireless connection, and google maps will come to my aid when I arrive and decide where to eat. If you see a wrb 04 sti with iclub stickers on the wing around town tonight, gimme a wave.

http://www.tasteofthehimalayas.com/ Freakin' awesome Nepalese/Indian food. Try the dumplings if you ever go there (called "Momo"). They're like the Shanghai style steamed xiao long bao dumplings.
I don't need more cowbell dammit!

Fillipo's on College is good italian, and fairly cheap.
Barney's are the best Hamburgers you will ever have, also on college.
Girabaldi's is very good, but its pretty pricey is I recall and technically it is in Oakland, but it is on College about halfway between Broadway and the BART station.

Oh yea, I also recommend Gypsy's Trattoria Italiana on the Durant food court. It's packed because seating is limited. It's quality Italian food with a cheap price tag. You'd spend no more than $8 there.

If you go to Top Dog, might as well go to Cheeseboard Collective (gourmet pizza), or Gregiore for some glorified take out food. =)
Seriously, I've heard nothing, but good things about Gregiore's gourmet take out. Just make sure you have a cool spot to hang out and eat if you stop by there.
