If you live in San Jose area, cops and sheriffs hangout by lawrence expressway and prospect road. Also Big Basin way, and Stevens Creek.

I never have a problem with the cops anymore, If I get pulled over I just talk to them with respect and be kind and they will do the same back to you.

That's actually the best way to deal with them, hah.

Montague/GreatMallPkwy @ the Railroad crossing, it's like a blind corner.

Haha.. Cops are people too, and that doesn't make a difference with some of them. The last few times I have gotten pulled over they have actually been respectful. This was not the case all the time and I still do exactly the same thing (keys on the dashboard, hands on the wheel, dome on if it's dark, yessir nosir etc).

Anyway, anyone heard of Trapster? http://www.trapster.com/ I just heard of them. It turns out I can install a plugin on my Dash device (www.dash.net) which will work with Trapster to let me know when cops are near and such. I set it up but haven't seen if it works yet. I can "report" live police, speed traps, and such and supposedly I should have access to that info on my Dash. Have to check it out more. Apparently police were asked about this and they approved saying "anything that gets people to slow down is a good thing."

Two good locations to ALWAYS watch out for cops. I know this well, as these are right near my house too:

1 Tully Rd. eastbound, in between White Rd. and Flint Rd. Motorcycle cops typically hide behind several bushes on the street corner right before the road curves to the left.

2 1/8th mile away, still on Tully Rd, but westbound. Right as the straight ends at the intersection at White Rd., there is a section of the sidewalk that is covered moderatley by shade from trees, and two or more cotorcycle cops often park on the sidewalk, one uses the radar to zap cars while the other(s) walk out into the road and suprise people. I would not be surprised to see one of those cops get run down, as people can get going pretty fast there.

Now this I'd love to see.

Oh, I almost forgot. If you're on Tully, or even anywhere relatively near the area, watch out for some kid in a black C5 Z06. He routinely drives nearly twice the limit of surrounding roads, and he either has daddy paying off his tickets or he somehow has not yet been pulled over. Won't be long before he runs somebody down.

I am sure everyone realizes that this thread tells "them" where NOT to be, right?

no, this is a good thread to tell others where you got busted and where to keep an eye on things. why do you wanted it closed?
