The primary role for this position is supporting corporate helpdesk for a 120+ user San Mateo based Database company.
The ideal candidate has a passion for new and existing technology, and be willing to "wear many hats" and work in an interrupt driven environment at a startup.
* Must have solid understanding of how email and related protocols work (SMTP/IMAP/POP/DNS).
* MUST have experience with Mac OS X, Windows XP, Mac & windows Office, OpenOffice, OpenVPN, BES, ActiveSync.
* Experience with Atlassian products, Perforce, OpenVPN, IP telephony, ZFS, and open source backup solutions a BIG plus.
* Solaris/Linux/BSD command line experience is a plus.
* Must work well independently as well as part of a team. if you feel you are too good to do little things like helping out lesser tech savvy folks with simple tasks, this job is not for you.
Pay: TBD based on experience. I don't handle the comp. but I would guess anywhere from $55K upward.
PM me a link to your resume if you're interested.
