Bay Area Jobs
I thought of this thread since I saw a couple of people posting things about jobs. Let's make this one as an official place for you to place a job listing or abilities:
1. Employers: Post job listings of what you're looking with experience and pay.
2. Job Seekers: Post small description of what work you've done in the past, what you're looking to do, education, and pay wanted

The network engineer looks interesting, salary is a bit low, but cost of living is probably significantly lower than SJ. I saw one major problem though "Thorough understanding of linux, unix and storage services" ICK. I fit everything except that line pretty well, and that line scares the freckles off of me lol, although I do storage farms pretty well. I just passed 1 Petabyte storage and should be close to 2 at years end.

I had one network admin working under me at a previous job and that was cool because he is a great/dependable guy. My experience is ~8 years of solid datacenter work, 14 years working with layer 1-3, network engineering, content switching and such. I think I have experience in every major Bay Area hosting facility as well as many around the world. I plan to work on my resume over the weekend and start looking in the UK again as well as Sweden.

Job seeker: Multimedia Field
Previous work experience:
-IT Intern
-Grocery store clerk
-Bus factory worker
-Anti-piracy security (still doing this currently)
What I'm looking to do:
I'm looking to get involved in an entry-level position for a company where I can use my film crew and video editing skills. Most often I'm using FCP, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver along with all the other Macromedia and Adobe programs within the Mac environment. I can do most functions of a graphic designer since I know the programs but I like video the most. In addition to all my multimedia skills I'm VERY mechanically inclined and good at solving problems so I'm not just going to limit my options to jobs in the multimedia field.
Education:
AA in Liberal Arts from Ohlone College in Fremont (Completed Dec. 04)
BA in Multimedia from Cal State University East Bay (Completed Mar. 08)
Pay:
50K and upwards yearly
If you happen to be reading this and know of a position that would fit me well, shoot an email to jbrachhausen at gmail.com
