From Band of Brothers comes The Pacific
Every since BOB came out I've been saying they needed to continue the series by featuring another part of the military.
Like the guy that wrote Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima. GREAT books. He has a new one out about the Japanese Navy. Which I'm guessing means he either has or is going to write one about our Navy. I think it's a very powerful way to show the war to people. As history has shown the winners dictate what is remembered. By showing both sides you bring true humanity into the wars and show just what kind of damage was done... on both sides.
Flyboys is a good example. That book is ridiculously difficult to read.
I"m very much looking forward to this.
