Like the guy that wrote Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima. GREAT books. He has a new one out about the Japanese Navy. Which I'm guessing means he either has or is going to write one about our Navy. I think it's a very powerful way to show the war to people. As history has shown the winners dictate what is remembered. By showing both sides you bring true humanity into the wars and show just what kind of damage was done... on both sides.

Flyboys is a good example. That book is ridiculously difficult to read.

I"m very much looking forward to this.
All Quiet on the Western Front was a tough read for me. It was my first insight as a teenager into what war is like for those fighting on both/all sides. I think it has been something like 13 or 14 years since reading the novel, and even without remember the details, the impression it left still resonates in my memory when reading or viewing modern conflicts.

I didn't see it coming at all either but i dont think trinity did it since that is way to simple for dexter
