What about lake cunningham over in san jose? May not be as great of a drive as mt hammy or even novato but it is a parking spot and has plenty of space for parking and a nice pavilion with electricity for speaker/dj setup.

It was discussed and I think the problem is trying to make sure we get an area to ourselves just for Subie's where other people won't be around to harass us. I've been to BBQ's there before with smaller groups and it was ok. But in order to accomdate potentially 350 cars, we'd all have to park all over the place and mostly no where near our BBQ site. With the potentially unsavory characters that could be there and pissed they can't park near their sites due to our cars, the potential for bad things happening is high.

Man I used potential or some form 3 times there.

This would be the cypress pavilion area. Plenty of parking on both left and right with 4 huge bbq pits

Im pretty sure we can talk to park rangers to reserve or close out a parking lot for us if we reserve the location. And im pretty sure if we run into bad characters while the event is going on that again we can call the park rangers and they can take care of things.

Yea, we would need both of those lots most likely. I dunno if the rangers would be cool with blocking those off. And if Hammy is still only $450, then $550 for that site and maybe more to block of those lots would be more expensive. Something to consider for another year maybe.

Track schedules. Preference. Vacations. Etc. It's not as easy as everyone is making it out to be. A date will be picked and someone is gonna get pissed.

A location will be picked and someone is gonna get pissed.

The winery is an absolute no if I have anything to do with it.

So it's more than likely Hammy or Navato. Both places people have issue with and both places have their own issues.

I'm doing the best I can to make everyone happy but people are just gonna have to deal with it when a date is set. If a vendor can't make it that week hopefully they'll still participate with the event in one way or another.

We already went down the vote for a date road and even that was a mess. Same with the location.

I'm basically waiting on a phone call to get most of this stuff iron'd out.

We'll get there and it will be awesome. I hope. LOL!

But yes I want the vendors involved as much as possible. A. We need them. B. I like them. C. I want a kick *** raffle.

The last time 2 raffles I had anything to do with were off the hook. If I'm gonna raise money for charity I like it to be worth it and if I'm gonna do a raffle I want it to be worth it. I hate the feeling of buying a raffle ticket and your fighting 400 tickets for a t-shirt or a calendar. Nothing to get hyped about there. I want shirts, calendars, turbos, wheels, tunes, access ports. stuff like that.

Speaking of which... I need to hit cobb up. LOL!

Good explanation Ray. Seems like no matter what we do someone is going to be mad about something.

Ray you know where I am with dates as per my email to you.

I will say this though, if we were able to go to Hammy and bring the car there is only one way it's going up that hill and that's if it's driven not on a trailer, last time I took one of the GOTO cars up there a few years back it was like dicing with death. It's not the width of the roads it's the other ****ers coming the other direction flying on the wrong side of the road around the corners!

Nope I kinda like Hammy over all of the other places either touted or previously been used. I'm just stating I don't see the L going up there.
