Here is what I'm proposing...
We need 6 people at check in. 3 different lines. 2 each. I'd like one of the core guys to be at the table that's non-prepays... aka the table taking money. At least for the first couple hours.
Shirts... we can get the shirts set up after the event gets rolling. That'll give more folks time to get there and more folks a fair shot at buying spares. I think we've got 1 item for sale per 10 people that are going to be there.
So John and I can help in the parking lot and help with set up for the first couple hours. John... I'll need you to help me gather raffle prizes from the vendors too.
I think the 2 areas at highest risk for slow down are check in and feeding people. So that's where we'll need the most help.

^yeah i was thinking about check in too earlier and messaged Tim for details. mainly because i saw the post about handing out like 300 goodie bags, which i thought would probably have to be done at check in.
what i was thinking was we should have a dedicated person with the boxes of goodie bags behind him. might need to be guarded since it might be a lot of space for them all and we don't just want people walking up and snagging them. or blocked off somehow.
maybe at check in give them a different colored raffle ticket to go "pick up" their goodie bag? that way we are for sure each person that signed in got one, and somebody doesn't just walk up and say they didn't get it, or something.
plus do the goodie bags go to all 300 first comers? family? their kids? etc? every prepay person (first 300)?

Goodie bags to the first 300 in the door. It shouldn't be that bad of a process. Person gives their name. You look at the sheet. If it says 2 people they get 2 goody bags, 2 wrist bands. They move on. When we run out we run out. The rest of the prepays are out of luck. Vendors. No goodie bags. Volunteers. We'll talk.
1 table for last names A-L. They'll have 150 goodie bags. 2 people. 1 finding the name. 1 handing them bags/wrist bands.
1 table for last names M-Z. They'll have 150 goodie bags. 2 people. 1 finding the name. 1 handing them bags/wrist bands.
1 table for day of tickets. 2 people. 1 taking cash. 1 doing wrist bands.
Most times you have issues at check in it's when you start selling stuff at check in. No raffle tickets will be sold at check ins. There will be a table for that and there will be people walking around.
Shirts will also have their own tables and won't be available until 10:30am.

Good thinking Ray, when I was reading over 300 pre
pays, I thought oh this is gonna be fun with only 4 of us handling check in. Ray will the check in sheets with the names be printed with last name first? I recall last year we were doing it by first name and caused some confusion.

Justin has already re-ordered the list... unfortunately for him he's going to have to do it all over again tomorrow because I'm sure another 40 people prepayed since this afternoon.
List will be printed. 2 lists. 3 tables. Highlighters. Bags. I think it'll be fine.
I remember the one year at Navato where the shirts and everything were all with check in and the line was like 100 heads deep.... I refuse to let that happen. This ain't didneyland.
