The same thing happened to me, exept I never sent the 10 dollars in for my "No registration" ticket. I got a 380 dollar fine.

All I had to do was show up at the court house, prove to the judge I had regisration at the time and he busted it down to 38 dollars. 10 for the original fine, and 28 for court fee's or something.

So, all is not lost, if you have to, go to court and the judge should lower your fee's just for showing up.

well i always check online to see if my checks have been cashed.

from prior tickets, it's been in my experience that my bail checks never get cashed for like months....it's such a pain to always wonder why my checkbook differs from my online statement, then i remember the court is still holding a check

mine isn't a correctable violation. it's a moving violation. i was talked to a few other cops to see on how to deal wiht this. and they said i should have slapped the rookie who wrote it for me (they were kidding of course)

i basically drove a few feet without headlights, realized they were off, then turned them on. a block later i got pulled over. oh well.

im trying to fight this whole thing, not get anything reduced.
