Bilstein and KW are much better than H&R (for coilovers).

As for the STi strut clunk, that is normal. I got it quite a while ago and have learned to live with it. I grease my struts when it comes back and it seems to cure the problem for the next thousand or so miles.

H&R's are fine on Audi's and Vdubs! I had them also on my rex, but they did suck. Got rid of them and am on Swifts now and am much happier.
