Anyways, I ended up running a 38.5 after a glorious spinout on my first run. I went completely backwards and broadsided 4 cones.

Yeah. I spun twice Both relatively in the same place. Might have to do how the suspension is set-up. Like... my front is totally dumped. Like totally dumped and I think that contributed to hit. I have a few things I can do before the next event that I think will help. Other than that. I had a lot of fun. Learned a ton of new things. Looking forward to the next event.
Camp Subaru was fun. We need to bring out a canopy next time.

serious? well thats nice i guess, maybe ill just get better and wear out the tires faster or something getting better laps
however, it definitely looked like the cars with slicks (did the silver rx7 have slicks?) were definitely going a lot faster

The cars running slicks, were running r-compounds likely, esp the stock class guys
No tread=larger contact patch=mo grip
tire size and selection isnt huge when you are first learning, but becomes critical when you want to hang with the really fast drivers

I was in the first run group, but I was driving the black FC turbo on gold wheels. I was coming around that left hand sweeper after the first slalom/hairpin and managed to turn almost a complete 360 before sideswiping a cone and all 3 of the pointer cones.
