I am putting on an event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca at the end of the month. One of our sponsors would like to set up a test drive center in part of the paddock. I need to find 200+ cones to make this happen. Does anyone have a lead on where I can find some? I already have inquired with the San Francisco Region of the SCCA and the Golden Gate Lotus Club, I am awaiting answers.

Cliff's Notes: I want to rent 200 cones and have them delivered to MRLS on June 27th. Can you give me some sources?

Call some equipment rental companies and see what they can tell you.

 

Have you asked any of the Fresno Chapter SCCA guys? I'll ask around on the SCCA forum when I get a chance for you

 

SFR SCCA has an event on June 30, so it's doubtful that they'd lend the cones out.

Why not ask Jesus from American Autox Series?

 

Looking at the autox calendar, Sacramento SCCA has events on June 29 and 30. You could ask the local PCA and BMWCCA groups or Norcal UFO as well.

many years ago i heard some punk kids would borrow street cones from construction zones and go set up legit looking auto x courses in parking lots on the weekends. then have an older gentleman with a clipboard and stopwatch pretend to supervise said events.
but yes call an equipment rental place. its prob the safest non law breaking choice you have

the real question is....how can i get to drive the course this day!? i live about 20 minutes away from there and have been fiending to drive my scooby there!
