AUDT: My sister's cat is sick.
I'm a vet tech in santa clara. the clinic i work at is pretty pricey, and we don't do payment plans.. but I would recommend checking out one of the VCAs because they're corporate and have locations all over the bay. They're prices are usually lower than most vets. Banfield is pretty much the only other corporate vet (they're usually attached to a Petsmart) but they are notoriously bad so definitely don't go there. I would call around and ask how much it is for an office visit. The higher the office visit, the higher all the other fees will be also. So how did they diagnose the kidney stones anyways? x-rays?

Good news. My sister brought the cat to the humane society. They have him two shots for bacterial infection, then let him go home.
Please be cautious if you choose to use American Animal Care Center. In our situation, they have been unfair and untrustworthy.
Anyways, according to my sister, they said to pick up her cat and to pay for the two days was $120. When she got there, they said $250. Anyways, they wouldn't let the cat go unless she paid the full thing. So, she did that.
Anyways, after that, she goes to the humane society. They checked the cat out, found it it was a bacterial infection, gave it two shots, and let it go home. Said if there was any other problems, give them a call and come right back. Anyways, this humane society vet asked the first vet for X-rays and what not, and according to my sister, they wouldn't give it up. Unbelievable huh?
Anyways, the cat is back home. She's tired of all this mess, but the cat seems to be doing well. First thing the cat does when it gets home is humps something... yeah... I'll just leave it at that.
