I have an mp3 song which I need to crop a 30 second clip out of and convert to a midi file for my phone. Unfortunately I'm a n00b when it comes to things like this and was hoping that someone with experience could take a few minutes out of their time and help me out.

Soundforge is my weapon of choice for that sort of thing too, pretty easy to use and quite powerful for a cheap/free program.
