There is a latch on the trunk lock mechanism in the trunk. Flick it the opposite if what it is now then try and open the trunk from the inside of the car and if it does not open voila completed
It is not hard, I did that a lot because I would carry Firearms in my car and was afraid of having them stolen. That is why most newer cars now have a key slot for the trunk release mechanism right next to the drivers seat. Plus my 09 Civic Si and other Civic models do not have a key slot in the trunk, so either pop the trunk with the remote or from inside the car. I choose to use the remote

Hmm, that really sucks to hear. Hope you get your stuff back.
On a side note, you know if you go to a surplus store and buy one of those pull string self inflating boats that's about the size of 2 shoe boxes. Throw it in a backpack with the pull tab attached to the zipper and leave it in the car for a thief, when they go to open it driving down the street, well one word - DONE!
(my friend did this when his car kept getting broken into at Foothill College...Well he sat in my car and we watched the car most of the morning, then see two guys walk up - look inside the car and smash the window.. took the backpack and got into their car a few rows down.. We drove by a few minutes later and all you could see in the car was an orange 5 man boat wrapped all around the interior.. Well, needless to say but his car never got broken into again.. )
PS. - It wasn't a one day thing, he had to do this thing of watching his car for a week or so..

My girlfriend actually had taken the car to the bart station cause I needed the truck to move some stuff. I had forgotten that the backpack was in the car and not the truck, but from now on I told her that we're going to keep stuff locked in the trunk. The crazy thing is the window tint in the back is pretty dark, so they couldn't have seen the stuff.
Does anyone know any cheap autoglass places?

This is why I'm taking the gfs car to the Bart station in Richmond for the raider game. But that really sucks dude but if you have renters insurance they MIGHT cover some of it, it's atleast worth a try

Thanks for the offers guys, I really appreciate it! Its the drivers side rear door window that got broken out. Police estimated my loss at around 2.5-3k due to the electronics and school stuff :/
