Hiya,
I'm in the Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek area for the next two weeks for the jobby job. And on my way up here I inherited a clicking/thunking noise from my left front brake. - Of which I just replaced last Wednesday.
I don't have to tools with me to break it down to see what the hoozit is going on. I doubt its going to lead to mechanical failure. But it does fall under the whole annoying/embarrasing noises category.
So, I know Diablo Subaru in W.Creek is right around the corner from my temporary adobe`.... But wonder how competent they are with good ole Subaru 4-pots.... Since I only know of which dealers in So.Cal to trust & deals with modified cars all the time...
What do you all think? - I know eveyone keeps suggesting S.Cruz Subaru... But due to my schedule the next few weeks, I can't make it over there...
Chris.

Hey, uhh, Chris...
I remember you from the Hamilton Meet.
There isn't a dealership close to you where you are. Redwood City's carlsen subaru would the closest one that has any competent service that are mod friendly (within reason)
I would see if a local guy can help you take a look at it.

Brakes
HeyChris,
I work in Walnut Creek at the Orange PMI building across Treat, near the NexTel buildings. M2 Performance in Concord does work on Subaru's, the place is also called Mostly Mazdas but they branched into Subies too.

I'm in a WRB Wagon and Anthracite SSR Comps if you see me around, it would be easy for me to spot you.
Nick

Thanks for all the help peoples... I gave Doug a call earlier today, and will stop by his place on Wednesday ~1230pm...
After discussing/describing the "problem" he surmised a loose backing plate...
Now, why didn't I think of that? lol
Nick, if I cut you off. I do apologize. So far I've only seen 4 people out of 20 use their turn signals... And I am already liking going up n over Taylor. Although I just noticed the police dept. right there... [just have to go to Pleasant Hill Rd....]
**note, I put the stock hood on until my alunimum arrives from overseas. The CF hood was getting its 'Super-Oxidize On' and it had to go.** [Sold it to a pals GF to put on her white wagon. Took `em two 4 hour days to buff it back to a presentable condition.
