You guys should see what the Gulf region in Texas is like. Thunder and Lightning sounds like the End of the World.

I was down in Texas actually about 4 years ago. Road tripping back from Georgia to California. We stopped at the eastern border of texas due to it being almost 16 hour straight of driving. Little hotel in the middle of nowhere. Just our car and a bus marked sheriff (a prisoner transportation bus). To make things even worse, there was thunder and lightning the WHOLE night. Every few minutes. It was like a horror movie brought to life. I think you can guess how much sleep I got that night.

Yeh, It was all luck, pulled out my cell phone pointed it out the window and then I saw a flash like 2 seconds later out of the corner of my eye. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked my crappy cell phone video.

Hey you forgot the golf ball sized hail at times.. So, if you rent a car in Texas, make sure you buy rental car insurance... I didn't at the time so take a wild guess what happened..

Awesome pictures.

I thought it was demo on the old section of the Bay Bridge. First time I've ever heard thunder in SF.
