Arnold Schwarzenegger has thrown his hat into the ring, as announced today on the Tonight Show (heard on National Public Radio, which was present at the live taping of the show).

Other news, Senator Diane Feinstein has announced that she will not run, should Governor Davis be recalled.

I didn't vote for Arnold but sure as heck didn't think he would be the type of guy who would grope women against their wishes. I don't believe the Hitler story at all, though.

he is still an actor. and thats what celebrities do.

sorta off the topic, but peepz were talking about it earlier. The energy crisis wasnt davis's fault. George Bush is from Texas. The energy companies are in Texas. Energy companies donated to bush's campaign. Guess who pocketed all the extra $$$ WE paid for inflated energy? thats right. George Bush.

You can blame the energy deregulation policy put into law by then Governor Pete Wilson for the energy crisis awhile back, the one that had me paying between $1,500-$2,000/month for electricity & nat. gas at my former restaurant.

Who CARED???

I wanted McCain for pres. in '99, but short of him, I would have taken Bill back for a 3rd. term WHOLEHEARTEDLY, than take Gore or W.

At least Clinton could speak to his people...

The Puritan Element, which I despise, being so pervasive, are the people who had an issue with the lewinsky affair.

Europeans could give a damn about all that BS, and rightly so, because who cares???

They've come to accept politicians & public figures (they are human, right?) cheating on spouses...but this nation of hipocrates haven't?

Well-put!!!

The primary issue I have with Arnold running is that Riorden probably won't run if Arnold does. And Riorden is a better candidate than Arnold from what I've seen.

Riorden was an electable alternative to Davis. Davis knew this, and smeared him in the PRIMARIES to get Simon in the real election. Republicans fell for it hook line and sinker, and Davis is now in office.

Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves.
