Don't see anything wrong with Arnold running, he's very intelligent, articulate, just has an accent. I think it's a shame people will write him off just for being rich, well known, and an actor. At least I'm pretty sure Arnold won't raise my f*cking car registration 3x's 'cuz he can't balance the budget.

 

The primary issue I have with Arnold running is that Riorden probably won't run if Arnold does. And Riorden is a better candidate than Arnold from what I've seen.

Riorden was an electable alternative to Davis. Davis knew this, and smeared him in the PRIMARIES to get Simon in the real election. Republicans fell for it hook line and sinker, and Davis is now in office.

Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves.

 

yeah its funny how people slam Davis but yet they dont know the facts. It was Pete Wilson that deregulated electricity, and that is what F'd the state's budget up, and it caught up to the state during Davis' term. Also if it was Arnold in office how the hell would a single person deal with a 35 billion dollar defecit, and not have a heavy impact on taxes and services. Its idiotic to think that some people believe that there will be a lone savior for this state. All i can say is that its up to us to handle the situation because it is our state. It will take time to rebuild the economy due to the debt of the state, but does everyone really expect our economy to skyrocket and never mellow down a bit? Simple economics will show that an economy no matter how well it is doing will eventually come down from its peak.

I think the last thing this state needs is a republican in office. All they want to do is make themselves richer. Perfect example is the Bush administration. I dont even need to specify with that. All you people voting for Arnold just because you think its funny, wait until the joke is over because we have to deal with it.

Also about that tripling in the car tax. Arnold claims that he will repeal that. Ok so what is he going to do to take the load off the the budget by reducing that fee? Rounding the fee its about what 400 dollars per vehicle? Think about how many registered drivers there are in California that will make a big hole in the budget and jnust screw us over even more. The bottom line is that the state is in debt and we have to pay for it like it or not because we chose to live here. Most lilkely it will be cutting more programs and raising a tax after the election if Arnold is elected.

 

Maybe your sources should get a background check Andy. There is a big difference from HAVING WMD and HAD WMD. Yeah back in the early 90's i dont doubt that Saddam had WMD. but the last Iraq campaign was total BS and everyone knows it. If you are telling me that they had weapons of mass destruction when we invaded them dont you think they would of used them? Or they just wanted the benefit of the doubt that they didnt have them right? Yeah they just didnt use them to make us look bad. Oh but they just paid the price of losing their country and their way of life thats all. Now their country is being run by a "puppet" government, and in 20 or so years i dont doubt that we would of invaded them again.

Its funny how Americans hate Saddam and yet we were the people that put him in power there in the first place. that was back when we hated Iran more that Iraq. This country does some shady $hit, i just hope everyone doesnt believe what they see on TV because what the hell is happening to our country.
