Anyone using Comcast Digital Voice?

Just curious, anyone using/used this service in the Bay Area? Any thoughts - good/bad/really bad?

caller ID's annoying, i dont know how to funk with settings, but always flashes who's calling during my shows!

and the phone now tells me who's calling via a voice from the damn phone. i miss when my family didn't have these luxuries, but i think it saves my dad a couple of bucks every month so it's all good.

call clarity is decent.

i have it. works just like a regular phone line. except..... when your connection to comcast is down, you are screwed. i have tv, phone, and internet with comcast, so when it went down one time, it almost felt like the apocolypse, minus cell phones

i have it, i dont use it much except to give to people i dont really wanna talk to but insist on getting my number. and all the utilities have this number, works like a normal phone, except when the internet is down. i dont think you would even know someone had it unless they told you.

Have it at home, just like any other VOIP service. the on-screen caller id can be annoying but isn't too bad. You can also log into your main account and access your voicemails on the web if you wanted to

Did anyone switch to CDV and keep their old numbers, if so, any hassles?

I have tv, internet, and phone through Comcast and have had all for some time now.

The only complaint I have with the phone is like donkeykong said. If comcast is down... my phone, internet, and tv will ALL go down.

It DOES NOT interrupt my internet when i get a phone call, and I like it when the phone number flashes on TV, because I can see if I want to answer it or not without getting up for the phone. haha
