anyone planing on going to sac raceway?

I've been wanting to take my car to the track but not sure if they open. Has anyone gone recently? Or if you know if they are open for wed night drags? Also if they are open just wondering who is planning on going soon. Since I'm pretty sure they will be open in feb thats when I plan on going just not completly sure.

I might go out this season, but a $50 TNT session is a little rich for my tastes.

when i go with my friends we usually hit up the wednesday night drags at Infineon. Sac can be too much of a trek from SF. Also i hear TNT days are worth the $50 cuz you are able to get a lot more runs in. unlike the weds night drags where youll probably get like 3-5 runs in.

1st 3 runs or so are free ones, so you have an idea of what your running, after that they start the brackets.. get as close to your time(dial in) as possible without breaking out (going faster)..last i went i didnt even pay attention to brackets and i still managed 5 runs.. i broke out on the last one

you dial in a time, say 14.2, and try to get as close to that time as possible without going faster, your opponent does the same...say your opponent has a 12.4..after the runs you ran a 14.3 and your opp. runs a 12.6..you win and advance to the next round..get it?

its all about consistancy i guess. you get practice rounds to determine your dial in # of runs depends on how many people are there and what time you get there, they begin elimination runs around 7pm. You put dial in time on your window and you race another person. the slower car (based on dial in times) gets a head start based on their dial in time minus the faster car's dial in time. the person who gets closest to their dial in time without getting an infraction moves on to next round. infractions would be starting before your tree goes green. bracket racing has nothing to do with who is fast, i think that goes on saturday night but costs like 50 bucks. Wed night drag is limited to cars 11.49(something in this range) or slower . The winner of all this wins a coffee cup or something that lame. This is why i claim autos usually kick some ***.
