Anyone need a Marketing Intern this summer?
Hey everyone,
I am coming back up to the Bay Area for the summer and I am looking for a marketing internship. I have the option of working construction for my dad like I do every summer and making good money, but I am trying to get some formal work experience under my belt. I've been working on a new resume and can send it out this week.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Have you looked into sports marketing? I remember seeing sports teams/clubs in Sac looking for marketing interns. Might be especially special if you enjoy sports.

Yeah I've seen sports marketing openings online. I do watch a lot of sports but since I am double majoring in International Business and Marketing Management, I would like to intern with a globalized corporation. Any marketing experience is a plus though, so I may end up trying to get ANY marketing position. haha

hey man, honestly the marketing industry is rough now. ESPECIALLY internships.
IE: I've been looking hardcore since November and just now landed a marketing position.
I would suggest searching Indeed.com, Monster, joining BranchOut on Facebook, pimping out your LinkedIn, revamping as much of your resume as you can and calling all kinds of places.
I would suggest applying to Marketing firms like Quinstreet:
http://www.quinstreet.com/careers
Look at their Media/Marketing Associate Positions and calling them to see if you can be considered for a Summer only program. They tend to hire more people that are in school still and the experiences you learn there will benefit you in the future when looking for work.
edit: PM sent

Literally I've had my resume sent to 80ish legit jobs. Not just retail or whatever jobs, but actually pertaining to my field and that I have the experience for. People who've actually sent a response (even a decline) probably around 10.
I've only received 2 job offers from 4 interviews. One of them was a slap in the face as far as compensation, so I declined that one. Took another 3 months to get the next job offer.
Had countless calls for Sales type jobs because I have a little bit of sales experience, but honestly don't wanna go back down that road again from my last position leaving a sour taste of the industry for me.
