Anyone know what kind of spider this is?
Remember that dumbass "Arachnophobia" movie back in the day? My cousin put some black widows in a big water container & they had hundreds of 'lil babies, he ended up just burning them all afte awhile. It's funny how the daddy long legs have deadly venom but tiny fangs, i used to **** with them alot growing up as a kid. I also would wake up hella early in the morning & feed those small funnel web spiders in the bushes insects i'd catch. I loved watching them attack & eat. Another time me & my cousins tried to kill a bigass spider on my ceiling but every time i got near it with my wad of toilet paper, my body would shake uncontrollably & i got deathly afraid of it. It took hella long since we were all scared & screaming like pussies, nobody wanted to get near it, spiders strike fear in all of us i guess!

I too can't stand effn spiders, I have arachnophobia. Even the smallest spiders I can't stand. Black widows scare the crap out of me. I use raid on them little bastards. I heard one of the deadliest venom is from the daddy long legs, but their fangs are too weak to puncture through human skin. I'm glad :/
I got to work, boss asked why I was late, I showed her the picture, and she walked out the door going "You could've just TOLD me why!"

Lol my front and backyard is littered with black widows. They used to bother me but now I could care less. They never come inside the house and they dont mess with me because I dont go frolicking around the garden when Im drunk.
Theres one that Ive been watching for the last month. It hangs outside the window of my living room and shows up when it gets dark out. Its been getting bigger and bigger. Started at 1/2 the size of a dime and now is a little bigger than a quarter. I'll see if I can grab some pics later haha.
Has anyone here ever been bitten by a black widow? I know brown recluse bites are srs business (skin grafts and stuff) but I heard the widows arent that big of a deal unless you're allergic. Ive heard their bites compare to bee stings.

I've been bitten once and my brother twice, neither of use has that bad of a reaction. Growing up in the central valley black widows are very common, I even had a few as pets. I got bite once when there was one in our mailbox and it got me reaching in. It just felt like my arm was burning for a few hours, much worse than a bee sting but not horrible. My brother was bite a few times and he had pretty much the same thing. I remember the Doc telling us that multiple bites at once or allergies could have made it a lot worse.

Good to know! I have a **** load of Bwidows in my garage and on the front porch once in a while but they scare the **** out of me and always show up at the worst times like when you're hands are full trying to unlock the door or when you go to pick up and jackstand and the ****er is inside of it and crawls out. Hate those bastards.
