Question Anyone know what kind of exhaust this is, and where to buy it?

All I have is a video, no pics. I LOVE the look of that muffler, does anyone know what kind of muffler this is? Perhaps someone knows of a company that makes something similar to this? I've wanted this type of exhaust since I first saw it back in 1997 IIRC but it's elluded me until this day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: That car is f'ing SICK! The only thing I don't like is how much carbon fiber is visible. If that were my car I'd just paint the whole thing to match. If you have the kind of money to mod your car like that then I'm pretty sure you have the money to paint it too.

Hmmm... That's nice of you.. its hard for me to switch aps and websites with this phone. I wonder who i'aun' gets theirs from? I remember there being a company that specifically made the can for the WRC car and they were part of a bigger chain that supplied them to other companies for re-sale. I can't remember the name of the company, I do however remember that they were based in England. It'd be great to cut out the middle man.

I'll point you to Spin Tech

Very similar look (and good design) for ~$100/muffler.

These guys used to make a 4" system for the 4th gen Camaro

That particular muffler is made by L'aunsport. There is one listed on their website. It's in the middle of page 16 of their Subaru parts. No direct link for the item.

In the process I found a cool site, http://www.subaruwrcspares.com/1.html, which has a ****ton of WRC and Group N parts. But no box like mufflers.

I also came across this, which you should probably read http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=691641

And I found another one listed for sale...

I remember having a Suby magazine which was nothing but a JDM aftermarket parts catalog. There was like 10 or 15 companies based in Japan that make/sell it. One of the being l'aunsport

Also, what do you guys think of these mufflers? Do you like the way they look? Would you sport one on your subie?

I'm wondering if we could do a group deal or something but that's probably not going to happen so I'll just buy a 3" can and tell you guys what it's like. (I want to cut off my current muffler and just attach one of those, keep all my 3" mandrel piping.)

I don't know why I like these so much... I never thought a muffler could make me so happy?

Ding ding ding. You got it! hahaha

I think the car isn't painted because it's showing you what parts you get in the body kit and what it could potentially look like. Basically just the pictures from the website put in a slideshow with music.

In my experience - all "performance" mufflers work about the same. Some are louder, some last longer... they all flow more than your engine needs assuming the rest of the exhaust system is right.

That car is one of l'aunsports shop cars if I remember correctly. The owner posts on nasioc, and there was/is a whole thread about it specifically.

The carbon is all left bare to showcase all of the parts they make for it if I remember correctly.
