I tend to stay away from individual stocks.

I bought some Intel and regretted it. It was supposed to be a "bargain" strong buy but dropped off the face of the planet in a couple of weeks. haha maybe if you hold it for another 5 years it'll go up but definitely not now.

it might be the old man in me, but i get excited thinking about business and stocks, and the different markets and possibilities... haha.. i guess thats a great thing when you're majoring in business.. to actually be excited about it.

yeah i think it's fun BUT the great feeling of making a load of money can NEVER overpower the feeling of losing a load of money. My portfolio looked like shredded wheat until today. I'm up 95 points today, unfortunately I have another 500 to go before I'm even with where I was prior to May....10th or 11th.

Yeah. I got my a$$ handed to me back in May. I was down about 20% or something, but I am almost back at break even. About another $50 or something.

I am currently reading "Trading for a Living". The title is a bit of a stretch, but it opened my eyes on the psychology of the trader and crowd behavior on market prices. Don't overlook the mental game.
