stupid question about subaru and fuji HI and stocks

ok so as we all know, the wrx is one kick *** car, and subaru in general is pretty damn good. now, we see a trend of ricers convert and highschoolers/just the younger ages really really loving this car, like more and more people want it, and probablyw ill get it. my friend asked me what car he should get, i said wrx, and he said thats what HIS friend said too. and there are many other instances when this happened, the wrx is just..gonna sell like crazy. now, with the new legacy coming out, a lot of people are talking about that too, like people put that up with the g35's and stuff, so i really thikn subaru and fuji heavy industry will make a pretty good profit in the near future. do u guys think this is true? with the outback AND legacy and wrx, and with the new commercials..i think the company is gonna do well, also their WRC team is kicking ***, so i hear. i looked up their stocks but they dont trade in NYSE or any of the US markets, only the tokyo stock exchange, but i looked up toyota and honda, they have stocks in the us market, do u thikn they'll start selling in the US market..their stocks??? just a htought, cuz we're discuing stocks in econ class, some input would be great.

One thing to look out for, is that the WRC (the FIA's top rally league) is considering rules that would ban the impreza as we know it.

Also I don't know how well Subaru is doing in the JGTC.

Just a couple of thoughts.

You probably know this, but GM owns half of Subaru, and they told Saab, which they also own a half-stake in, to rebadge the impreza wagon as their new 9-2X.

yes i knew that, but thanks, i was thikning...how good subaru would be doing if htey werent part of ****ty gm and saab, if they just came in the market as FHI..damn it, i HATE gm and saab, i REALLY wish they didnt own half of it, like i didnt even WANT to look up the stock quotes for gm cuz even if they are doing well, i dont see them doing too well in the future, although their new gto and stuff might have a small influence in the market, but not as much as the *** cars would im sure...grr..subaru how could u!

yeah i dunno about the JGTC..its like dominated by the 350 now? or was the skyline..its either skyline or supra or 350...wish they did better but subaru only has ONE car in it right? oh yeah im hearing stuff about the FIA floating around, cuz the main page has something in there about it..

I guess you don't know a great deal about global economics and platform sharing. The fact that GM and Ford are buying up all of these other brands ensures that they will always do well in the future. GM benifits from more sales in more markets by buying saab and suby, while saab and suby get the extra money for R&D from GM which is a HUGE corperation that includes many more makes than just the Chevy/Pontiac/Caddy that you are thinking of (i.s. Opel, Holden, Saab, Suzuki, Suby, etc.) They also then get the added benifit of platform sharing which will make more cares more affordable and better built. You may not like GM, but you better get used to themas they aren't going anywhere. Realizing some of their home market products were a bit lack-luster they invested in other lesser car companies which was a wise move. If it weren't for american corperations like GM and Ford US releases of many cars, like the Elise, EVO, Vanquish, and your beloved Suby would not have been possible.

Yeah...

GM is trying to put Subaru out of business. They're obviously on the right track of doing so with Saab, especially when they're desparate enough to make a Saabaru, which so far has only sold less than 500 units.

This is a "Chevrolet Forester" complete with bowtie badging from one of our members in India. He's pictured at the top of the Himalayas at the highest passable road in the world.

I gotta say that the Chevy SS Silverado truck is badass.

It has full-time AWD, all it needs is a blower and its way cooler than the Lightning POS...

The handling was amazing, and I've flogged them around several times, I used to sell Chevy and Hummers.
