I know a few MJ players, but they're way better than me. Honestly, I don't like to play, since my Chinese sucks---I know it's not a pre-req or requirement. It just makes me feel worse about my crappy Chinese!
Plus, MJ takes so dang long to play, and shuffling/banging them tiles makes my head hurt! But I'm sure you'd be welcome to join my neighbor's MJ-fests...watch out though...them old, Asian ladies are hustlaz! Really though, Jason, don't be afraid to just come to hang out or play a few games. It's nothing serious, and I'm sure a lot of others aren't hardcore card players and would like to just hang out too!

Although, blackjack usually goes pretty fast, and only has one primary winner/loser (dealer). But whatever you all want to play.
I'm even down for Go-Fish and Old Maid...I used to play some mean hands of those back in grammar school!

shadowcat, there are people who just want to play for fun and all your card lingo isn't doing anything to help....i play for fun and i also play to win some serious money. poker night is a good idea.....winning $5k from a $5 table ??????interesting........

I would be down depending on night and location.
I have played in a couple games with buddies.
We like to do $25 buy in that gets you $100 worth of chips and you play $1, $2, $5, $10 and play no limit holdem just like on ESPN
i am new at it but i really want to play and with the max loss of $25 i can handle playing and loosing more often.
