Anyone here work for AT&T and can help?

Long story short I got scammed on Ebay a while back. A few days ago I get a call saying this new guy took over the business of the guy who scammed me. Says hes sending a money order to me to get things right again and to reopen his PayPal account. So after supplying him with my address I havent received anything and he wont answer the phone (5 calls, 3 messages, over 4 days.)

Im looking to see if there is anyone on the forum who works for AT&T who can run a cell phone # to get just the name of the person on the account. If you can PM me please. I greatly appreciate it.

I know WagonTale's gf works for AT&T. I don't know if they'll be able to get you a name though. Still worth a try.

I don't know about falling for anything twice, but I can tell you that its a little out of character for a scammer to call you after 5 months to offer your money back. Not to mention to ask for the address. So I went off the assumption that a legit person is now running the business and in hopes of resurrecting the PayPal account and Ebay account he's been held liable to make things right for long overdue transactions.

You could try calling PayPal's fraud dept. to find out whether this is another scam or not. I had to do this a couple of years ago when someone tried to attach a PayPal account to my bank account. PayPal were very responsive and helpful.

PayPal will do nothing to get your money back. One reason I refuse to use them unless it is a verified business with positive feedback. You're only real hope is going through your bank/credit card company to recover the stolen money.

Ok well I received a Money Order in the mail from.....THE SCAMMER
It was made out from him and everything. Even though the guy who called said he wasnt him and the name was different. I thought the voice was the same, but 6 months of not hearing anything left me wondering.
