Anyone want to help & work on my WRX?
So I am making arrangements to barrow a friend’s (mechanic) garage with tools and multiple lifts. I have the following parts that I have accumulated over the past few months and would like to install on my 2002 WRX Wagon on October 10th in San Francisco (280 north & Cesar Chavez):
- STi Struts, springs, tophats, & camber bolts
- Brake rotors, lines, & pads
- Shifter
- Godspeed (bigger) TMIC with Y-pipe
- Downpipe
- Up-pipe
- Replace spark plugs
- Change oil, coolant, brake & tranny fluids
- Help with re-flashing my ECU
I think that is about it. I’m also going to be looking for a wagon rear strut bar but doubt I will find a used one in time.
I would to see if there are any i-Clubbers that have some free time and would like to help me out. I’ll buy pizza, beer and smokes for anyone who can help. And if I have any money left-over, I can chip in a little for gas money.
I’ll also put this out there – since the garage has another lift, if the garage isn’t busy (which it usually isn’t on a Saturday, taxi company) I might be able to swing the other half of the garage for you to work on your car too for minor stuff to work on (no engine swaps
)
PM me or email to cswinsf (at) gmail dot com with your contact number and email. I doubt there will be a huge response, but we can’t have too many people there – MAX 8 peeps.

is this shop on cesar chavez across from a chain link fenced lot and with a body shop next door? i may know the previous owner of this shop.
what are you using to reflash? i may be able to come by and lend a hand with that and the suspension for an hour or two.

It's Royal Taxi and BigDog taxi. My friend is the owner/manager of the company.
Unless you're talking about the other side the fence, then that would be Dan - but he relocated to Brisbane.
And I would love it if you could help!

No worries and thanks!
I can help out with gas but that's about it. Food, beer and cigs is what I got.
OK, thanks!
LOL
that would be really cool if you could. I'll PM you middle of next week to see if you're still down to help out
Yeah, Dan's a good guy. Him and his wife are good friends of my bro too. They come over for holidays and BBQs
Name your poison
Yeah, when you have a cute 9-month old daughter, money and priorities change. The only reason why I can do this is because the wife and kid are going to NYC to visit her family. This is my only weekend of free time to do these installs so I have to make the best of the entire day and weekend to work on my car.
THANKS EVERYONE
