This is the information I was refering to as being incorrect. Timeline of events were Monday Lambdas get jumped at pool hall. Tuesday meeting to resolve issue at the park.

The park was chosen as neutral ground so I've heard.

What I find lame about this whole thing is how the hell you gonna have a "verbal argument" on like a Mon. and then settle it the following Sun. at a park?

All Good Bro. Like you said. I know these frats are by no means "gangs" like some people say they are. I believe there are certain individuals who make it look bad and bring down the name. I have met some really cool people in both Frats and I know they down to have fun and don't just go looking around for trouble.

I agree with you there. Some house have members who don't think straight and are too quick too throw down. It's up to the other members of the house to restrain them and talk them down. You would not believe how many fights are avoided by responsible members mitigating the situation.

Often times when fraternities have issues with each other, a meeting is setup to squash the differences. They both did the wrong thing by having both houses show up. It should have been people involved and the officers of both houses only.

Having meetings like that are a good idea, but there is a difference between usual house differences, and a bunch of guys jumping somebody just because they are from a different house. That is just uncalled for.

what the hell happened?
Little late seeing this, but gotta say that I can't believe they did a gang fight. I thought that people who were qualified to go to college were better than that. Guess I thought wrong.

I thought those frats were more about Asian unity than anything, not Asian rivalry. It takes only one or two weak links to break the chain, right? I wasn't in the frat or anything, but at Davis, I didn't see the Asian frats go to war over their differences. They didn't really have any as a matter of fact. They did their thing and other frats did their thing. I'm more disappointed more than anything.

Tim
