Anyone here leasing a Subaru??
looking to get a new impreza for the wifey and figured Id giving leasing a shot this time around since its a better tax deduction for my business and I honestly dont think we'd keep it for more than a few years. Never leased a car before though, just wanted to see what other people here are paying for theirs and any other tips on what I should expect or wheres the best place to go, tia!

Just renting it basically at way low daily rental rate, when you think about it.

leasing is just another option of financing, but you are only paying for what subaru deems the car will depreciate over the terms + finance fees and taxes if any.
30K car
20K residual value
10k$ is the depreciation you pay for plus what the MFG charges for lease usage fee called the Money Factor ie 0.00129 for BMWs curently, multiplied by 2400 to get a percentage of 3.096%
10k/36 months $277.77 per month +64.38 monthly lease fee= 342.15$ + tx
gives you a total of $372.09/month lease
You can choose to buy most leases at the end for the RV of $20k or negotiate with dealer if the car market value is less than RV ie 18.5k or something similar.
Good thing with leases is lower monthly, no money down out of pocket and Gap insurance is included in payments as part of lease fees.
so if you total the car you owe NOTHING, if you total your car in 1 yr have only paid of 4K of you 30k loan and insurance deems your car worth 25k you would have lost 1k and any taxes paid up front and Money down.
30K car with taxes and fess would proly be close to 33.5k$

i think leasing is the better way to go. If you are not planning to keep it in the long run. For an Impreza, you will not be paying $300per mth. Best thing to, is call you dealership and just talk to them.

I'm not. Not with either the Fozz or the truck, but Lil'Bro has for the same reasons you note. If I was still a contractor, I would have definitely done it, if for nothing more than the offset write-off and future buyout option. Their Forester, and the Impreza before it were done this way, as is his current truck, a Tundra. Me, I put on too much driving and recreational travel to make it work. Already have around 15k on my new truck.
Let me know via phone if you have any questions man. I'll put you in touch with one of our people if you're not already considering another dealership.

Be warned - Subaru Financial uses Chase. Chase will not allow you to transfer the lease. I believe you can buy it out and pay a penalty but you can't let someone else take over your existing lease. (I looked into it after realizing what a heap my '12 STI is. It just stranded me again on Thursday and the failed clutch m/c and s/c were *just* out of warranty. Thanks, Subaru!)
The biggest danger with leasing is that the calculation is not nearly as straightforward as an outright purchase or a simple loan. I recommend you don't walk into the dealership until you can calculate the lease longhand and understand all the components. Otherwise you are liable to focus on the monthly payment and not realize how bad they ripped you off. There are several good reasons to lease but it makes the most sense when you can write it off as a business expense:
