Anyone here know how to clear coat?

So as the title states, I need someone who knows how to paint basically. (I would pay obviously)

I have a carbon fiber trunk that has no clear coat on it now. I tried to spray some on there with the help of a friend, but that didn't work out too well, so I'll be stripping that off.

If you guys know how to do this well or know a good shop in the north bay that can do this for cheap, that would be wonderful, I need to get it done asap.

Thanks in advance

I'd help you out if you were in the south bay.

carbon fiber is tricky

You need to know what resins were used, and find a compatible finish system,
"clear coat" is a very generic term, different formulations will behave differently on different resins.

Good luck with that...

I don't know, but if I was in your situation I'd try to find a "professional" to consult with, depending on what you have- it may or may not be suitable for "do it yourself" refinishing, from the sounds of things you already kind of messed it up once.
Hopefully someone who knows their sh** can get you on the right track, but I wouldn't hold my breath expecting anyone here to come up with a magical one-step shade-tree fix.
