News10 Coat for kids winter coat drive!
Well guess what guys time to give back to those who need it most. Talked with a good bud of mine who is trying to get the srt4 dweebs to donate a bunch of coats to the salvation army to give away. Then i thought about this community and how much more *** we kick then those fwd no lsd having fruits! (just kidding... well sorta)
So i am calling on you guys to either ship coats to brian (the srt guy) or drop off coats with at my house, or to anyone else who would care to volunteer to take coats and save them until we can figure out a way to get them to me or to brian directly.
the orginal thread is here

i say BAIC shows up those srt4 drivers by donating more coats then they do.
Coats can be of any size and sweaters are welcome, anything that can keep a person warm during the cold days is needed.
So spread the word to what other forums you surf or troll, lets make some of the less fortunate around feel a bit warmer this cold winter.
(brian's addie is in the orginal thread)
What i would like to see if we can do is set something up where we can have a mini meet where people can drop off loads of coats and clothing they have gathered from their local regions. (ie one person act as a hub in the city, another in sac, and another in say davis, another in VV, and so on all of those people then converging on one salvation army to drop them all off)
The srt4 guys will most likely be doing something along those lines as well. (mind you some guys from even FLorida are going to be shipping coats to brian so lets get to work cant let those peg leggers show us up)

(alex can you add this little blurb to the front page maybe?)
Each year News10, working with The Salvation Army, Swanson's Cleaners, Gottschalks and AmeriPride, collects thousands of new and used winter coats. The coats are sorted and cleaned by Swanson's Cleaners in the Sacramento area, and various other cleaners in the San Joaquin and Stanislaus area. After cleaning, the coats are distributed to needy families throughout the News10 viewing area. Special emphasis is placed on making sure that every child has an adequate coat. Since the program's inception 12 years ago, more than 201,000 coats have been distributed. If you'd like to share the warmth this winter,
Please send all Donations to

(getting verification that we can post his addie on the front page, dont want to screw him over to bad)

looks like brian (the srt guy) is going to try and get news10 to cover them a bit (the srt4 guys) if he can get up enought support. A bit of positive media never hurt.
Ill keep you guys up todate would love to see car geeks get some good press.
