I'm pretty sure you need to powder coat. FWIW someone powder coated OEM Impreza wheels and total cost out the door was just over $200.

I have been thinking about changing my TE37's color from silver to Gun Metal. What is the best way of doing this?

Hey Vince,

The BEST way is NOT to do it!! Leave those sweet wheels alone!! j/k if you really still wanna change the color (thought you would've done it by now, since you did mention it a LOOONG time ago!) j/k, again...anyways, if you want to do it right the first time, have the wheels powdercoated.

A professional paint job will hold up well too, but powdercoating is more durable in the long run. Check out MagMasters in Santa Ana or look in the phone book for other powdercoating places (look under chrome polishing or metal finishing)

Good luck and post some pics when you get them done!

Peace

Turboman,

I wasn't hating on coating the wheels....it's an "insided joke" between me and Darksubie!
