Anyone have experience with Fujitsu small notebook or anything else
I've been looking at the q2010 for work traveling etc. it's a 12.1 inch screen and only weighs 2.2lbs. I know there are a few others out there that are good, and the battery only last 2 hours, the extended battery last 5 but adds a half pound. Anyone got any advice for me on this, also needs to support data verizon card (pcmcia only right now I believe)
Hrm, if that's a newer laptop, something seems strange about the battery life. It uses the Intel Centrino Processor, so it should have around 3 hours, but I can see why it has 2 hours of battery life - the notebook is ultra thin. It really depends on what you need your laptop to do. Also, running the PCMCIA card is going to kill your battery life as well - the 5 hour battery would probably be more like a 3-4 hour battery. Also, it's been my experience that the larger batteries are also oddly shaped, so it may be sleek in the regular form, but once you add on the larger battery, it may be have an extra buldge or may be longer in size. The Q2010 looks to be more around 3199 for a new one (MSRP) and 2000 for a refurb - which is quite expensive.
There are lower price alternatives with more power and more battery life around the same size, just that they are thicker when closed. I would probably opt for one of those, since the Q2010 uses an Intel Centrino (single core) while the new laptops are now implementing the Core 2 Duo's (Core Duo and Core Solo are more powerful than the Centrino), and the Quad Duo just got announced...
What exactly is your main use for this laptop, if you don't mind me asking.

Fujitsu laptops are terrible. suck it up and get something that is a bit bigger, and usable.
The problem with small laptops is they are delicate. If you travel a lot, a small notebook is not the greatest thing to have. if you drop it, its toast.
Why do you need a sub 3lb. laptop?

Hmm... over at the notebook review forums, the general opinion of fujitsu notebooks (particularly their build quality) is fairly good, especially their displays which many people have said are second to none. Look over there at their reviews section - it may help your decision...
