Anyone got the hook up on Hotels?
I need a hotel up at South Lake Tahoe for a couple of nights at the end of next week, anyone got any hook ups or any suggestions for a good place?

Mike,
Best Western Station House Inn. Look it up. Good rates and free sit-down full breakfast too. We've stayed there a few times over the years. It's right near stateline and easy access to Heavenly Village.
Here's a pic I took of the place during our trip last April. The restaurant is to the left, the lake is 2 -3 blocks down to the left also:

ummm check AAA maybe? god its been so long since ive been to tahoe. my friend's parents own a home up there but theyre fixing the roof this weekend
There are some pretty cool ones on the CA side, but if you have enough people I would seriously recommend getting a vacation rental - they are pretty common up there. It's a lot cooler, plus you have a kitchen and stuff. The last one we got had a pool table, sleds, 2 car garage, good home theatre system and a couple rooms we didn't even go in. This place was comp'd by the firm but I know a few people who rent them for trips.

Some of the cabins are really nice though.

few things... you can do...
- search online for best deal... Different site could have different rates and they should honor the lowest rate (as long as the website accepts online reservation)
- if you are going in a group and going to share a room (say 4 in one room), say you only have 2 people and request for 2 queen size bed. It's cheaper this way
- When you call to get a reservation, ask for corporate discount if no better rates online and get a confirmation number. They don't usually check at check-in. (I am legit, so it doesn't matter for me).

there's a holiday inn express about a block away from stateline that's usually under $100 per night. it's actually pretty nice.
i've been eyeing up the embassy suites right on stateline for my next trip up there.
