I ran in STX and got second last year, maybe they changed the rules. Anyway, I ran my SE-R and managed a 57.797 or something like that. Not bad for a mostly stock 15 year old car.

Sharky: This is the 2002 WRX that ran before you. Nice meeting at the autocross. As for your wheels, I double-checked and I'm correct, Subaru lists the 2006/2007 wheels as 17" x 7", not 17" x 7.5" as you claimed.

Thus your car is actually an STU car where 2.5L WRXs go. Sorry =/

-1 for trying to push your point to be right (PMs are better for this kind of thing)
-1 for me for stretching the old RE92s on them, Also Thank you subiedude (whos sopposed to know thier ****) for selling them telling me they are fine for the stock tires.
BTW - It wouldnt be STU because the tires are still stock, just because the rims are different doesnt set me in that class, But nice try.
Also why does it matter? i didnt even do well.
**** it caused me to do worse cos my **** was squealing all over the place at low speed.

Uh... 215/45/17's?
I am running 215/45/17's on my 17x7.5's and they are just fine. Matter of fact, I probably can't run wider because I'll start to rub.

Yeah.
STU is for up to 2.5L turbocharged.
STX is for up to 2.0L turbocharged.
STS is for non-based sports cars with displacement up to 3.1L for NA and small displacement turbocharged engines.

its like what i see often youll see someone come in... running a STOCK class... but the car is lowered on coilovers.. they are thinking hey i have a stock engine i must be in the STOCK class... or im still running stock tires but on wider rims...
read the rules...it benefits everyone
as for subiedude does know their stuff... your tires fit on the rim right? whats the problem?
