Gotta give Kanye Credit for his acheivements. Can't be bias and narrowminded just cause he's mainstream or has different political views than you. some may want to bash you over the head with yours. anyways, as a underground listener for many many years and having an open-mind for music... you can not say his beats are wack..sorry. a lot of his production is tight better than a lot of that underground garbage that these wack cats are expeimenting with. yea some of his lyrics may suck but his music overall is good. he deserves radio play, but not the greatest as he thinks he is. besides his talent he does have views and ways that i do not agree with. i would also like to blame the newly so-called hiphop listeners that are soo narrow minded. learn to respect music. as far as his his political views..good for him. i have mine.

 

People may hate Kanye West or at least hate the song "Gold Digger", however....


At least it ain't D4L's "Laffy Taffy". Worst.song.ever. Sounds like it was made on a Simon and a $10 Casio from someone's garage sale. I don't even know why that song is likeable.

He has to be the most unorginal artist today... but pisses me off is that he puts himself out to be original, and that people think he is... But he isn't. He's done NOTHING NEW, nor anything that someone else hasn't done before.

i agree. what do u expect tho with a commercial format wanting to get radio play? like i said tho, i do not agree with his ways and his opinions. i just look at him as an artist..i ain't trying to be his homey..lol.

 

i ain't gonna hate on Kanye (too much). He's got some stuff to say, is pretty creative, self-serving, but he's doing his thing and getting P_A_I_D. I can't be mad at him for that.

 

i went to the show in kanye show in SJ! at one point, he even stopped performing because the people in the luxury boxes had their TVs on. he made a big deal out of it, and during the performance, used his mic to say "If you can afford a luxury box, I bet you can probably afford to Tivo it, so turn it off..." after about 3 minutes of waiting however, the guys in the luxury boxes did turn the TVs off.

seeing as how this was my first live concert, ive never before seen a person being worshiped by so many individuals. at the show thousands were cheering kanye on, and i couldnt help to think to myself, "wtf what has he done thats so great?" i was amazed at the amount of power one person could have, it made me sort of jealous really. its very sad how society is so eager to cheer on selfish arrogant individuals... ie actors, rappers, athletes etc

(fyi i just went to the concert because my gf wanted to go)

Anyone who has beat in their car knows that song is the shyt.

 

i happen to love both those songs haha. with a sub in the car, those songs are great!

 

It is a shame that during his accident he didn't swallow all his front teeth and choke to death.

Go see more live music. I'm sure the production on the show is excellent but I really don't care for the music which is really all that matters.
