I am so pissed that the left wing media and black leaders can actually politicize this disaster. Yesterday I heard allegations that The big easy couldn't get the funds prior to Katrina due to the war in Iraq, and of course the allegations that the delay in response was due to the Gov. being racist. I also heard that this may have been prevented if we had agreed to reduce our energy consumption by 30% and this was tied to global warming. All of which is of course BS. The way that I see it; 33 hurricanes have hit the gulf states area in the last nine years. The state and local gov's inability to develop a worst case senario plan, for a city of over a million that lies below sea level is [tyson]ludakwiss[tyson]. Those who rely on the gov to take action in a time a crisis are always going to be disappointed.
