Anyone ever get ticketed at Mt. Hammy?

Knowing that it's a 40mph limit and most of the turns are so tight to turn, is it even possible to get a ticket aside from an "illegal passing" ticket?

Crossing the double yellows and getting caught should be enough for a ticket, even if it wasn't passing. And if the cop at the observatory sees you slide and hears your tires chirp, you better have a damn good excuse

LOL I heard that he gave lectures about fron tags

He looked at me but he did not say anything since I had no front or rear tag

Cheers

a cop sits at the top? all the time? also how can he hear you tires if the road is so long plus how can he tell its your car thats making the noise? that wouldnt be enough info to hold up in court so youd probably win.

When at the top you can look down and see the last section of hammy. Its mostly a bunch of switchbacks so the cop can see which cars are going fast and making noise.

When I was up there were the cop was looking down the hill during the meet, I could hear an unnamed club member who is quite nutty and drives a blue wagon ( ) squeeling his tires a couple miles down the hill. Noise carries very well up to the top.
